Craft Farms has a remarkable history. This unique property brought together two very special men. RC Craft, who immediately saw the beauty and potential of this property when he purchased it in 1956, and Arnold Palmer, who decided the minute he set foot on it 30 years later that it would become his first signature course of the newly-formed Arnold Palmer Design Company.

This connection to the land and to this special place enticed these two men to build the best golf course they could imagine and their efforts were an integral part in Gulf Shores becoming the golf destination Gulf Shores is today. As one of the first courses in the area, it has grown to boast over a dozen golf courses.

The Cotton Creek Club was formed shortly thereafter. The leadership of RC Craft and the close friendship he formed with Arnold Palmer were an integral part in making Gulf Shores the vacation destination it is today. Craft Farms was one of the first golf membership clubs in the area and still contains the only Palmer-designed courses in the state of Alabama.

Craft Farms still exudes the same captivating beauty and charm. Many more strong friendships have been formed on this special ground. The Cotton Creek Club is one of the most successful and active club memberships in the Gulf Shores area, with a calendar chock full of golf events, tournaments, social programs and unique gatherings.
